Recreation of one of the pivotal set-pieces from the 1997 sci-fi/horror film "Event Horizon"
Modeled and animated in Blender 2.93, textured in Substance 3D Painter with additional color grading in After Effects.
I used a variety of UV cheats to achieve the repeating pattern around the main outer core ring, mainly layering UV tiles so they overlapped and saved so much time masking in Substance Painter.
